There has been a lot to be pleased with tonight. VGK needed some fluke bounces and NJ got points from Bratt Nico and Zacha and to a lesser extent Hall to maintain that trade value

We should have either bought out Schneider and tried as hard as we could to sign Lehner to a one year deal (which is what he wound up getting anyway) and either going with Lehner and Blackwood or keeping Schneider and going with Lehner and Schneider. We would have wound up waiving Schneider by mid-November anyway, just like we did, and it would have been Lehner/Blackwood and Blackwood backing up Lehner and not Domingue backing up Blackwood.

I’m trying to figure out if this was a good or bad thing. I thought there was a noticeable difference in his game tonight. That’s good for obvious reasons but I’d hate to think he’s genuinely been dogging it this first quarter of the season.

Vegas didn't need a 60 minute effort to win tonight. We don't score enough goals or get enough saves to win consistently.

Team needs a real goalie and a few more snipers. We flub so many odd-man rushes because so few players on this team can shoot the puck.

I think it's more about the team not knowing how to execute an odd man rush to get anyone open to shoot. I swear every three on two is just three guys in a straight line all the way to the goal line. No movement to open anyone up.

This only looked good compared to last night which was one of the worst games this franchise has had since the Mickey Mouse years. We blew another 3rd period lead, this is the same garbage we’ve been seeing all year.

agreed he played well.. he is in some kind of funk as is the team. but there is at least something to take away from the game...shero my boy you sure have your work cut out for you over the next few months and off season.. i don't see him long for this world with this organization..his rebuild has failed.... lets be realistic.. we don't have the defense or goaltending for anything serious in next couple years and zajac .. greene... hall... vats perhaps will not be here next season... so we are starting over. again. not saying we are starting from scratch but we have to reset our brains to realize we are doing a go around.

i would like to see mcleod and bastian called up. i think they play the type of north/south game that will help the team out.. they will get in front and funnel pucks towards the net.. this team is entirely too similar upfront in its personal .. we need some size up front to compliment the smaller skilled guys.. palmers, hall, hischier, bratt, gusev, coleman.. just can't create enough chaos in front of the net.. its too many of the same style players .. zacha.. doesn't really play in the paint.. time to move on from one or two of those types and replace with mcleod of bastian types.. its what is needed up from.. oh and we need a real goalie.. MB is a nice asset but he won't cut it i would platoon him with domingue so he doesn't feel un needed pressure to win
