When it results in pucks not getting out defensively it's not nothing. He's a fringe NHLer that isn't flashing enough and his TOI reflects that. He's not explosive nor often disruptive. He's the sort of player the clock will always be ticking on unless the production speaks for itself.I don't think he's the MVP I'm just saying it is absolutely wild that people are concluding he isn't an NHLer because he gets pushed off the puck easier than most others?
Also Rasmus Sandin is still stuck on zero points on the season. He doesn't kill penalties. He's not the toolsiest guy physically. What's his niche? As-is he's trending toward being a player to flip rather than commit to IMO. He's playing ~22 minutes a night but I'm not sure they're the better for it.
This forward group won't cut it, even with Pacioretty and a boatload of cap space at the ready. I'm sure they'd like to add further but they still ought to be thinking about subtracting, who's essential, what qualities are essential and what's not. Until they execute with that level of clarity hard to expect much more than warm mush.
