He's still new to the NHL. I don't mind him on the wing for now as he gets more comfortable in the NHL. Rask is so slow that he can't do a good counter attack or get back to play in the d-zone unless he's playing the center high (Koivu) position.

Bjugstad and Hartman are both RHS so that could be part of the reason Strum was the LW when they were all on a line together.

I'm a little concerned about Kahkonen. Let in a couple of softies. Can't do that anymore.

I’m not at all honestly. He hadn’t played in nearly a year, so rust is to be expected. I’ve been impressed with a lot of the saves he’s been able to come up with. If the soft goals continue throughout the season, I’ll be more concerned. But he’s young and I’m sure there’s nerves involved.

On another note, unless there’s advanced stats for AHL games, a 5 game NHL sample size for xSV% is statistically meaningless.
