Has Kiviranta played his last NHL game? Think he may return to Finland if not getting any bites? Thought he would have signed by now, decent 4th liner on a rebuilding team.

Kivi has been a good playoff player every time the Stars made it but his regular season numbers are just awful and he's a winger unlike Glendening who you can allways just put out to win you draws . Kivi had good numbers in one year which was also the year he was injured most of the time.
Good defensive 4th line pure winger who brings little offense that just doesn't have much of a market no matter how much he steps up his game come playoff time

I think if he absolutely wanted to hang on to the NHL dream he could, but might have to take the PTO route and play his way onto one of the more questionable rosters.
But therein lies the contradiction with him being a better playoff player than regular season. Playoff teams think they're set and don't have free roster spots rattling around.
