Interesting note: @tdgarden concession and souvenir stand employees have not received a raise since 2007. Contract expires at end of month.

I love Chris Kelly. I think he's gold.

But I LOVE the sound of this series of transactions.

Lucic - Krejci - Hemsky
Marchand - Bergy - Eriksson
Soderberg - Spooner - Filppula
Merlot

Boom!

5 mil for filpulla on the 3rd line? Would have been better off with seguin!

I like the trade, btw, just putting out perspective

Quaider I'd do... No to Boychuk though.

I wouldn't even make Edmonton eat salary.

Hemsky is a terrible fit for the B's system and is very injury prone.
Why would anyone want to give up any assets for him?

He hasn't hit the 20G mark since a career high 23 in 08-09. In the B's system he is probably a 12-15G scorer assuming he plays 70gms.

Would much rather sign Iginla for what Hemsky is going to cost you and keep all assets.

Game 7 in round 1 of this years playoffs might remind us how good Toronto really is.

I'm not saying TOR is bad by any means, they aren't. They aren't better than BOS, and frankly might not even be better than OTT and MTL, though those 3 are a toss up.

I am sick of this "Oh well DET took CHI to game 7" or "TOR took BOS to game 7" arguement though. It literally means nothing. Stuff happens in the playoffs, and the two best teams made it to the SCF, regardless of weaker teams pushing them to the brink.

Michael Ryder is considering offers from New Jersey and Boston. #TSN

BRB killing myself

Yuck!!!!!! We have been there and done that.

Ryder is a floater. Dallas and Montreal gave up on him.

Get serious Chia. Unless it's on the cheap and the way today has gone, that is not likely.

We need speed and someone who is not soft.

This is awful. Im not a Ryder fan at all. I think it's Chia losing out on a couple options he had targeted and now scrambling and getting desperate..... Dont do it Chia, i would rather play a kid than get Ryder on what i can only assume will be a terrible contract as all have been today minus like 2.

Steer clear of Hemsky, don't even think about it. Injury prone and no heart. Oh, and he does have soft shoulders.

With the smurfs
Boston will 4th in conference not diviision, isn't that what a 4 seed is.?

Think you missed the memo. We're back at divisional playoffs.

Top 3 teams make the playoffs in each division.

Then the last two spots goes to the better records in the conference with the worst WC playing the better division winner, the other WC the worst division winner.

Bruins will likely have seed 1 or 2. Not 4 which would mean 3 of Det, Tor, Ott, Mtl, Flo, TB, Buf, have better records...
