Wouldn't mind if we could sign David Booth to play on the 4th line for 1 million or so... Worth a shot imo.

So, this is the way I currently see the NHL with the free agent movements so far:
Atlantic division: Big ****ing bar room brawl.
Metropolitan division: A bunch of kids playing Magic the Gathering and pretending it's serious
Pacific Division: War on the order of England vs France vs Spain back in the age of sail
Murder Division: Nuclear. ****ing. War.

I think they'd be okay (not great, okay) with a Ballard and Blum bottom pairing. It's not ideal but I think that's better than what they're going to find out there right now. McBain would be intriguing as a 6/7 to keep on roster. I don't think you can go into the year already slotting Folin into the line-up. I just don't think he's ready for that. If he shows he warrants a spot, they could easily find room. But I don't see it likely off the hop.
No way in hell the Hawks make a deal with anyone in this division except perhaps Winnipeg.
Everyone is just too damn good.
What if it's the absolute best deal? I agree with what you are saying, but we traded Seto for a 2nd last year to Winnepeg and that worked out well for us.
All i'm saying devil's advocate ya never know.
Semi-serious question.
With Stoner leaving, and the other targets off the boards, is there a chance Prosser gets re-signed?
He's pretty big, kind of tough, and a great depth player.
The bottom defensive pairing is between Blum, Folin, and Ballard. A lot of question marks there. We almost certainly need to attempt to trade for Mike Green or something decent to move someone more reliable onto the 3rd pairing.
Fletch just threw out the term "spending orgy" on the radio.
Mike Green is not reliable on the ice if he can even stay on it with all the injuries he gets.
He is a PP specialist thats it.
