Majorityof1's random last-minute overly-complicated off-season HF Blues Board Prediction Game
Are you dreading the Blue's annual over payment of a useless Bottom-6 free agent?
Does the thought of trading away that prospect who's development you have been drooling over keep you up at night?
Are you sick of discussing your obviously biased trade predictions with other teams' obviously biased fans on the main boards?
Do you gain an unreasonable amount of satisfaction from proving you're superiority over strangers in a virtual space?
Well if so, this is the game for you. Sure, Armstrong is going to make stupid moves that give us all many more ulcers , and there is nothing we can do about it. But here, you can correctly predict which stupid moves he will make and win a prize*
*Small print: Not an actual prize, but, you know, bragging rights, which have no value in the real world but are worth their **weight in gold on an online forum. **Further small print: Bragging rights are weightless, and hence worthless
Rules :
1. The first rule of Majorityof1's random last-minute overly-complicated off-season HF Blues Board Prediction Game is you do not talk about Majorityof1's random last-minute overly-complicated off-season HF Blues Board Prediction Game.
2. The second rule of ......see Rule #1.
3. You can ignore rules 1 + 2, its not like this is fight club. Besides, how can you make a prediction if you can't talk about predictions.
The Real Rules :
1. Make 3-5 picks and number them in descending order of likelihood (1 being most likely, 5 being least). Be detailed.
2. Blues RFA do not count. Only UFAs and offer sheets for other RFAs. Offer sheets must be signed for the prediction, but the other team's decision to match is irrelevant to this game
3. You must make a goaltender prediction
4. For trades, list all of the pieces, but mark the main piece on both sides in bold or some other way to make it clear. Example: Blues trade Sobotka, Kyrou, '19 first and '20 3rd for OReilly and ''19 2nd
5. For Free agent signing, list both term and AAV. Example, Bozak 4x$5M
6. Majorityof1 is the arbitrator of all rules, scoring and dispute resolution. Any grievance will be settled by a vote. Majorittyof1, being the majority of 1, will always cast the majority vote.
7. Submissions must be submitted by 11:55 PM EST on Saturday June 30. Any post edited after that time is void.
8. Scores will be tabulated on July 9th or there about. Any deal made after that time won't count
9. Have fun....or not, this one isn't a hard and fast rule
10. Ummm, I wanted 10 rules because...just because
Scoring :
- The first prediction is worth a max of 100 points, second is worth 85 and third is worth 60. The 4th and 5th are each worth 50.
- There is no penalty for missing the first 3 predictions, but missing 4th or 5th one completely carries a minus 15 point penalty
- Free agent Predictions:
0% of max score- Predicted Free agent does not sign
40% - Predicted Free agent signs, wrong on AAV
60% - Predicted Free agent signs, within 5% or $150K, whichever is less of AAV
80% - Predicted Free agent signs, within 5% or$150k of AAV, and either predicts term or exact AAV
100% - right player, right term, exact right AAV
Trade Predictions:
0% - Main player predicted the Blues acquiring is not acquired
50% - Blues predicted acquisition acquired (main piece)
75% - Acquisition acquired, main trade piece going back predicted (Mo1 has final say on "main piece")
100% - All trade pieces predicted including conditional picks
200% Get all of the above, and correctly predict DA's crazy conditions on the pick
Good luck and have fun
