I think most of these are pretty cool and would totally work.

Nike's 'Color Rush' uniforms have been a popular subject across the NFL for the past few seasons. As someone who admittedly obsesses a bit too much over both hockey and sports fashion, I often thought about what it would look like if the NHL were to incorporate a 'Color Rush' of alternate uniforms.

You can watch all teams here:
NHL teams ‘Color Rush’ inspired uniforms

Some examples:

Anaheim Ducks - Would look better with Mighty Ducks but isn't in game

Arizona Coyotes

Colorado Avalanche

Detroit Red Wings - I really like them!

Pittsburgh Penguins - These are awesome too.

Cheers!

Columbus Blue Jackets - inspired by US national team? :)

Vancouver Canucks - I'm digging these because it's something else than blue, red, white which is too common in NHL.

The Kings jerseys look amazing.

Love what he did with the Devils too.

Would love for the Jets to get away from Navy and go with a brighter blue.

Some of these look really nice, but if this is supposed to be "color rush" inspired, I'm not sure why 8 different teams have black? Especially teams who don't usually wear black like the Sabres.

Also I'm not sure how the Preds wearing navy is more of a color rush than their regular yellows. Same with the Bolts and Devils. A few head scratchers but overall some great ones. LA, Calgary, St Louis I really like as well as the Pens but I feel the socks need the same black at the top as the sleeves.

"I'm not a fan of the Hurricanes' boring, traditional home reds, so I decided to work in more black and give them a more modern feel."

And then decided to give Detroit the current Hurricanes jersey instead?

There's a couple nice ones, but also a couple that are horrifying.

"I'm not a fan of the Hurricanes' boring, traditional home reds, so I decided to work in more black and give them a more modern feel."

>Proceeds to create a monstrosity

"Columbus could really benefit from including more striping in their current look, so I jazzed up the sleeves a bit and tried to play the red and white off each other as best I could."

The NFL Color Rush jerseys are almost universally awful...the only ones that aren't blatantly offensive to my eyes either have issues with color blindness or don't really fit the proper definition (I quite like the Steelers' color rush look...which is all-black and defeats the entire purpose of existing...but you were never going to get the Rooneys to sign off on wearing all-gold).

Those NHL concepts are, generally, not nearly as universally awful and most of the problems are simply EA NHL template issues (limiting logo and jersey choices)...so that's positive...I'd venture to say I love that Pens look, though the gold pants would probably be overkill in reality.

Someone should tell them that black isn't really the point of color rush jerseys, though...especially for teams that don't wear black normally. Nearly 1/3 of the teams wearing black in this project (9), only one of which wears it primarily...c'mon. The Pennsylvania teams are the only ones wearing all-black in the NFL out of 32 teams, the Steelers I already covered and the Eagles probably largely because Nike has had issues getting the right dye color for the Eagles' shade of green as it is.

Buffalo's colorless rush jerseys did make me throw up in my mouth a little.

Most of these are either unsightly, or too close to what the team already wears, or in some cases both. Some of them are OK designs, but don't make sense as a concept... why would Montreal or Washington want to get away from red as their primary color? Why would Dallas want to wear North Stars replicas?

These are the ones that really landed, IMO.

This looks surprisingly good with the modern "D" logo. The striping pattern is an update on their classic look, and the logo actually follows the curvature so that all the lines are moving in unison. That's a brilliant touch, seriously, really good stuff. I also like the idea of color-rushing the logo itself, which makes the entire look feel more special and fresh. I actually wouldn't mind seeing them skate in this a couple of times a year (it's miles better than the awful orange alts).

Like Anaheim's, this is a color that actually works with the color-rush concept. It's lively without being glaringly bright. Also, the silver cuffs look better than I would have expected. Sharks might actually want to consider something like that as an update on their classic look.

I love the way this evokes memories of the Thrashers. That's probably not what the Jets want to do as an organization (if anything, they seem to want to bury and forget their Atlanta history) but this would be a wonderful way to pay subtle tribute to those roots without getting away from a Jets-based look. It also, again, is a color that looks OK in the color-rush concept.

Wouldn't really have called them colour rush jerseys since most of them don't enhance the colours but rather just change the jersey design or use different colours all together.

But aside from Columbus, which looks like he just used the old Ottawa "SENS" jersey, they look pretty good. Really liked Florida's. Devils would look even better without the white border on the shoulders

Also Philadelphia's alternate should be black with their sleeve colour being orange

I disagree, we just love our WHA and Jets 1.0 history more.

If I (True North), but a house (Atlanta Thrashers) and notice the old owners left their kids' pictures (Atlanta Thrashers History) on the walls, you can't expect me to leave those pictures there and pretend they mean something to me.

I want to put up my own pictures (WHA and Jets 1.0 History).

Funny thing is I think the "Color Rush" NFL jerseys are garbage, but some of these aren't bad at all.
