1 year is a good deal in almost all cases this year.

Because for all we know, that 1 year could be 21-22.

I just today got pondering, if season 2020/21 never starts, will they decide that all contracts will slide one year and, if so, what will become of players who would've had one RFA season left. Will they become UFA by normal 27-y.o. rule, of will there be a one-time special consideration for that too.

Some guys have had very expensive signing bonuses paid, I don't think the teams will want that to have been a freebie.

Aho for example, obviously, but Marner's on another tier.

Imo I feel like he skates well and is a good energy player. But everything else is very below average. Keep in mind he put up those points being stapled to two of the best playmakers on the team. When he was on a line with jstaal he seemed to just disappear. Not to mention there are long stretches of games where he is just invisible. I think he is what he is right now and won't turn into anything more. Lmao I sure hope he proves me wrong now that I talked all this shit.

He scored 10 non power play goals this season. Staal had 9. Svech had 11, Necas had 10.

These even strength only guys can be sneaky.

Foegele: 19
Necas: 16
Staal: 13
Teravainen: 13 (significantly less games due to injury though)
McGinn: 12

5v5 Goals/60:
Aho: 1.14
Foegele: 0.75
Nino: 0.75
Svech: 0.74
TT: 0.67
Necas: 0.65
McGinn: 0.61
Staal: 0.5

Even if I extend it out to all 3 of his seasons, he is still 4th in 5v5 goals (Aho: 46, Svech: 33, Nino: 31, Foegele: 29)
