They basically have their whole NHL+AHL fwd rosters in place for next year now...

Flyers have 22 guys under contract at fwd for 2020-21.

And that does not include O'Reilly and Willman with the Phantoms.

Aube-Kubel, Patrick, Lindblom and Vorobyev ONLY 4 guys who are RFAs. And 3/4 are sure-fire to be re-upped.

I really liked him too. But he is exactly the type of player you can't make a decision about with your heart.

id rather have just kept pitlick tbh. We have no idea how sandin will be. I think nak's ascension made them think we don't need to resign pitlick. Pitlick and raffl are basically the same players (pitlick might have more motor but same thing really). NAK should be cheaper and obviously cost controlled. Either way, with lindblom looking like he will probably play sometime next year there isn't much room anyway:

If lindblom and Patrick return healthy it will be very interesting to see who ends up on the outs

I like him a lot but Laughton is an easy trade candidate

ya lindblom coming back changes everything. Its looking like he will play at some point next year which is amazing. Flyers have tough decisions now with expansion

Getting a top 6 winger back for nothing...that would be amazing. If ghost can regain form...that would mean another top 4 d for nothing. If patrick can come back...middle 6 center for nothing. Didn't think this team can be even better than their finish toward the season. Im excited. The later the season starts the better for patrick/lindblom.

Pitlick will be priced out. It's largely a cap decision

Is Lindblom going to have enough games played to have to be protected?

If he's on LTIR long enough he could be exempt. Last time it was all veterans who would never play again, though.

Expansion Draft: Full Rules

* Players with potential career-ending injuries who have missed more than the previous 60 consecutive games (or who otherwise have been confirmed to have a career-threatening injury) may not be used to satisfy a club's player exposure requirements, unless approval is received from the NHL. Such players also may be deemed exempt from selection by the League.

He likely will need to be protected due to accruing 2 seasons. 2017-18 and 2018-19 already count.

BUT he might be declared exempt under the "career threatening injury" clause. And I guess the Flyers ask him to be depending on when he gets back, and how maybe of the 60 games before expansion he misses... as there is a proviso for that.
