When mantha was wide open in the corner with all attention on him, Larkin could have easily moved to the front of the net to get into a shooting position but nope, he just stood behind the net watching mantha. This is why Larkin has so few goals, he has no clue how to properly position himself for high quality scoring chances. Most of his shots are very low danger.

I have no doubt he'll spend a significant portion of his off-season working on goal scoring... Whether it be his shot, or positioning or most likely a combination thereof. He's shown the ability to make big strides and improvements in the past. He's also got a history of being a goal scorer.

Is the setup correct when 5-on-5 for both defenders to be on one side. On that penalty both Green and Jensen were to the right of Howard (Jensen was battling on the boards) while the left side was wide open. And that seems to be the norm as of late.

Nice Larkin can score on Mrazek
