Is #1D always a guy with greatest offensive ability? And what does 'better then Ghost' mean - we are talking about apples and oranges here. Sorry, confused by this post.It's the reason I hesitate to say he's going to be a #1 or better than Ghost. He's not a guy that will be all over the ice creating offense. It's not his game. He's going to get his points from outlet passes and QBing the powerplay because he's such a good passer.
He looks awful. I get he can win a faceoff, but he looks like the definition of just a guy out there. Slow, ineffective, behind the play, invisible.
Tbf for a good ~4-5 years when in Phoenix and then Edmonton he was basically the Marcus Kruger of his day. Did pretty amazingly defensively in awful minutes.
He is not as good as he once was... but he can still bring value.
