Kind of reminded of the nursery rhyme scene from one of the Freddy Krueger movies.
Ya, it’s the end of the first nightmare movie. The 4 main characters get into the convertible, the roof comes up as Freddy’s shirt design. The doors lock and they start screaming at the mom who seems in a trance and not noticing the problem. The car drives past the girls skipping rope and then the mom is pulled through the tiny front door window by Freddy’s hand. Slow-mo with creepy kids music of course.

Warning: one of my typical personal vignettes follows.

Every wonder if your HF posting impacts someone's life? Check out post #63 in yesterday's GDT. It's a video posted by Jets31.

Girls Night Out last night and by 1 ayem we were at our third club, our quintet now reduced to a trio by some passing wayfarers. I was in the washroom when a stall behind me opened and out staggered a girl nearly identical to the video: same hair, backless sausage casing, heels. She stood beside me at the counter and I couldn't resist turning and asking her how she finally got the toilet seat off.

Ha, ha! Life imitates art!

I thought I was hilarious and started to laugh.

She stared at me blankly, swaying and not focusing her eyes, then turned abruptly and threw up in the sink. It happened so fast I couldn't grab her hair in time. One of her team appeared from another stall and other girls were walking in so I beat a hasty retreat.

Of course, first thing after brekkie this morning, I went back and looked at Jets31's video. And laughed all over again. Yes, I really am that small.

Maybe not at your age. For some of us guys at my age, you forget everything eventually.
Forget and/or remember stuff but you are not sure you actually experienced or saw it in a movie.

Coyotes play in Minny today.
Beautiful.
Jets will playing 4 in 6 with a lot of travel.
It’s nice that Yotes should be tired too.
And the Yotes dont want to win, so there is that.

Then wouldn’t the tie-breaker be relevant in the combined league standings as well? How do they have the tie-breaker? We have more wins and I thought we had the season series 2-1?
Regulation wins are the first tie breaker now, we've won too many in overtime.

Haven't caught up to this one yet -- I'm in this weird time loop where all Jets games appear just after breakfast and then disappear a few days later -- but great to see a dominant display after a few barnburners. This is easily the most fun season since the 2016-18 run of nearly... nearly... Great!

Also, Perfetti looks like that nice kid on your block who all the parents loved and was, in fact, exactly as great as he seemed. He's the anti-Eddie Haskell who also happens to be incredibly good at everything, and even though you want to hate him at times, you just bloody can't.

This team has a really interesting balance of strengths atm. I really feel like we're one garbage-goal faceoff specialist and maybe an extra reliable RHS D away from a good run,

Kevin Hayes 2.0 we do not need.

Well that was fun. Looks like the team got back to its structure tonight and hammered the Pens. This team is so fun and skilled when dialed in. I'm amazed sometimes at the caliber of talent that Chevy has been able to draft/assemble. He's only had one top 3 pick to work with as well. This team can do some damage.

Big Save Dave wasn't all that busy but made the saves when he had to.

JoMo and DeMelo were great. Morrissey with a strong two way game. DeMelo with some nice passes and was back to being steady in his end.

Pionk/Dillion: Both tidied up their game in a big way and as such had a nice all around outing.

Schmidt/Snerg: They also had a good all around game. Snerg has really settled in the last 5 of so games and playing like a person who has made it.

Scheifele line was on fire tonight. They took care of their end, was smart through the nz and cycled the crap out of the Pens. Cole clearly feeling off but he had a great night. What impresses me is just how good he is at shielding the puck, spinning off players and being a key component in an elite cycle game. Mark with an excellent two-way game and got some nice and well deserved goals. Wheeler looked a lot more like he did prior to the injury.

Dubois line: They also had a good night, generated a lot of chances but only got one goal. One thing I'd say is they are a bit more high event then the other three lines. They tend to get hemmed a bit in their end so it's something to work on.

Lowry line: A typical physical effort from that line and suppressed whoever they were against tonight.

Fourth line with a real nice game.

Have to catch up with this one but agree that his puck protection is terrific, and will only get better as he adds some down-low strength. It's been an underrated part of his game as a pro, and is even more effective because he can distribute at such an elite level.

He isn't ever just killing time -- he's able to hold up and then create a chance at a very high rate.

I still am confident in my opinion.

That line has a lot of issues. Ehlers is still not built for the playoffs.

How so?

He was among the best Jets game in-out last time round, and is a player who can be effective and dangerous even when not producing. Not many players or teams who can be confident about giving Nik a free run when he has the puck, and his shot has improved dramatically over the past few seasons.

I reckon he'll be pretty key in any deep Jets run.

Its been my experience with goalie coaches they are there to work on what the goalies already know and to be a personal cheer leader and sound board for them. They are their own beast and they think differently.

I just don't think at the NHL there is some goalie guru making them better. I think that stuff is in Bantam/Midget/Junior. Once they get beyond that its a rehash and whoever can make them feel comfortable is what they have. In the Jets case Helly likes Wade and its a simple as that. They connect and it works. I am sure the backups that we have had all liked Wade as well
Absolutely false. A goalie is constantly improving, and always making slight adjustments to their game be it with stance, positioning, diet etc. the technology to help do so is also constantly changing and its the goalie coaches job to help implement these changes. They are far from just cheerleaders. The reason one of the best goalie's in the league likes Wade is simply because he recognizes that he is one of the nest goalie coaches around.

No it’s regulation and overtime wins … plus the Jets beat the Stars 2 of 3 times.
