I always write the date that way I say it.. Month-Day-Year.

This clearly deserves a poll.

Same, except on my CPU I have it set day-month-year, but my month is set as written in letters, so it's 04-Dec-2018.

Everything else though it should be month-day-2018 because it is December 4th of 2018, not the 4th of December LOL.

I am an Anglo Quebecer and French people write it day-month-year but in English school I learned month-day-year. It’s been a struggle I never know what to do when I see a date where the day isn’t higher than 12

You want to talk about struggle!?! Try getting through a Math 30 class with a French teach who uses commas instead of decimals when writing numbers! Pi sure looked a lot bigger back then: 3,141592

Day-Month-Year makes the most sense because there's a progression from a smaller to bigger unit of time. But I've seen M-D-Y so much that it confuses me when it's actually the reverse

Last I checked, Columbus Day was in October. Easy 2pts for the boys in red.

Have to disagree there. My family was from Russia (first generation Canadian myself) and I was always taught Day-Month-Year. Seeing people go Month-Day-Year on paperwork just irks me to no end because it doesn't make sense.

And yes, "4th of December" would be the proper (formal) way of saying the date. I mean when you type the month, it doesn't make a huge difference, but when using strictly numerical values, outside of English Canada and the US, everywhere else goes with (for todays date) 04/12/2018 (or 04/12/18)

FYI we are testing out a new forum feature called Live Threads. New posts will continuously pop in like a constant feed so you can follow along without refreshing.

If you'd like to try it, join the usergroup here:
https://hfboards.mandatory.com/account/join-user-groups

It will only affect a few specific threads at this time like this GDT.

Let @SniperHF know if you run into any problems with it.

I don't know if it is because I'm on my phone but there is nothing on that page.
