Solid return, kind of expected more from him TBH but he's up there in age.

I didn't expect a fourth round pick with how poor he's played. I'm ecstatic Shero pulled this off.

We can put Kalinin there or bring Coleman/Pietila up to play 4C and not miss a beat.

I don't think trading our terrible fourth line center means that Shero is "selling" haha. It's practically a free fourth round pick. Kalinin played his best game of the year last night. We have Blandisi, DSP, Bennett (when he's healthy), Coleman, and more available for the fourth line. Great trade. I hope he can get similar or better picks for Parenteau and DSP. Quincey and Lovejoy can go too.

I wonder why Nashville would give up a 4th. Plenty of guys who go on waivers with similar production.

Very nice return for a guy who wasn't going to be back next year, didn't play great here, and is in his late 30s.

Seemed like a good guy, hopefully he is able to pick things up playing in a familiar place.

Free 4th rounder, and in this year's draft. Nice, Ray. Would have expected a 6th or 7th.

Vern was a good guy, but his best days as a hockey player were behind him.

Someone post the strutting gif.

Quincey will go when Moore/Merrill are healthy.

At a certain point, Shero's better off getting whatever he can get for him (even if it's just a third round pick) when we have just as good alternatives he's preventing from playing.

Fiddler has already been surpassed by internal options and therefore was traded.

Agreed...and a fourth isn't much but I didn't expect anything for Fiddler past a 6th/7th maybe.

Excellent trade, I wasn't expecting us to even be able to get rid of Fidds at all.

Selling might not be the best word.

But I expect Shero to trade Parenteau and Quincey as well and replace them with internal options instead.

Huge disappointment? What were you expecting?

2014-15 80 GP, 13 G-16 A-29 P, -5 13:08 ATOI
2015-16 82 GP, 12 G-10 A-22 P, +5 11:38 ATOI
2016-17 39 GP, 1 G-2 A-3 P, -10 12:08 ATOI

He actually has been a huge dissapointment compared to his last two seasons.

More than 3 points

While playing with useless sacks of **** like Kalinin and DSP. He didn't perform up to standards, but a guy signed specifically to be our fourth line center not working out doesn't strike me as a "huge disappointment".

He also played for a Dallas team that was far better offensively than this team.
