i actually used to have a cushy government job doing policy and left to do the underpaid world of architecture, so it actually isn't paying off in the long run unless I strike it lucky opening up my own firm one day
that's the dream.Well if you end up with a job that you enjoy more in the long run I feel that less pay is worth it. Being able to enjoy your job always makes up for less pay
Same here.i graduated college on friday so yeah the more games and posts the better lol
I thought Edmundson was picked, edits are f***ing with me dude.I think I accidentally crossed Joel Edmundson instead of Joel Eriksson Ek.

Where are you located.that's the dream.
for the record, if any of you need to build a house or do extensive renovations, hit me up
You nailed it. I worked in high pressure sales during my 20’s and early 30’s and made a shit tonne of money but was completely misreable. While I wasn’t earning nearly as much as a Manager and Lecturer (I left sales 6 years ago), it was still a 6 figure income (barely), but I had a lot more free time to explore outside interests (following the NHL and the Canucks) and more importantly, having enough time to stay physically fit by working out.

You made the right call life is to short to hate your job
Hindu's job has always sounded really cool to me and is probably something I'd look into if my plan A and B flop.
Exactly. More importantly though, health is more important than wealth. When you’re working 14-16 hours a day, 6 days a week, you don’t have much time to work out. Because you hate your life, you end up overspending money (in my case, food, massages, and escorts), while increasing your waist line. I had always been skinny growing up (30 inch waist), but shot up to 40 inches. Since I’ve left sales, I’ve gone down to a 32 waist.
It’s crazy how much of an effect a crappy job can have on your health. At the worst time of my current job (me and my supervisor were the only ones on my team, which is usually 6 people) I was eating McDonald’s every day and gained 30 pounds within half a year. Not worth it
I was eating Full Pizza’s like three times a week! (with like 2 cans of pop along with cheese fries). Thankfully, I was still lifting some weights and doing push-ups (for like 15-20 minutes a day), otherwise I’d probably would have developed very serious health problems.
Oh man thinking about old eating habits makes me feel sick to my stomach, but I think you have me beat with the pizza, cheese fries and pop. How are you still alive?
I believe he’s Panda-certified tooI like the Nuke pick. I feel he is underrated.
....except by the guy who was calling for the Hart.
Get an MBA or some kind of Masters of Business degree if you’re passionate about it (I got a Master or International Management degree with an Asia and Pacific Rim focus). Can definitely open doors! That’s the only reason why I had the option of leaving my dreaded Sales career.
