so if we adjust for goalie start percentage to account for games lost to injury or time spent in minors and prorate all their stats, we get this.
dfdfdfd244.2023
Igor Shesterkin239.4774
Tuukka Rask237.5236
Connor Hellebuyck236.7423
Darcy Kuemper233.9071
Anton Khudobin221.4243
dfdfdfd209.9933
Andrei Vasilevskiy206.7526
Jacob Markstrom205.7372
dfdfdfd205.3687
Ben Bishop204.8323
Robin Lehner204.5231
Philipp Grubauer203.3571
Antti Raanta203.1548
asdfsad202.7437
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
but if we just prorate all the stats, then we prorate people like shesterkin and driedger who had a really hot run of twelve games. that's kind of f***ed up. way harder to do that over 58 games.

so if we normalize the number of hypothetical starts, we can get
Connor Hellebuyck228.4704
Darcy Kuemper196.007
Andrei Vasilevskiy185.8763
asdfsa177.6563
Philipp Grubauer177.3943
Carey Price173.9566
Jacob Markstrom171.9491
dasfdas171.608
Carter Hart169.4691
asdfs169.1548
Tuukka Rask168.9165
Jordan Binnington167.2371
Frederik Andersen163.2434
asdffd161.5824
John Gibson151.6114
[TBODY] [/TBODY]
but those are drastic score changes. with normalization, price and hellebuyck stay pretty much the same while everyone else drops a lot

so what happens if we adjust the normalization scores so they're still there, but not as dramatic?

Connor Hellebuyck236.1043
Darcy Kuemper217.703
Tuukka Rask205.0479
Igor Shesterkin202.2854
Andrei Vasilevskiy199.1966
asdfd194.1301
Philipp Grubauer193.0772
Jacob Markstrom191.3851
Carter Hart186.1496
Jordan Binnington182.9404
Ben Bishop180.1694
asdfd180.0722
Carey Price179.9189
asdfdfd179.3449
asdfd172.3188

but this still punishes goalies who are on teams with strong tandems and teams with injured goalies get an artificially high games started rate for their goalies (with arizona the most significant)

it's doing my f***ing head in

Yeah I have a goalie ranked as my BPA but also see a really good LHD and C available, if the goalie gets to me I'll be pretty happy.

maybe if i sum the value of each team's goalies across the season, find individual weights, use the standard normalized function and then i divide the final total by their weight so that a hellebuyck:brossoit that's 0.8:0.2 only has helle divided by 0.8 while a bishop:khudobin that's like 0.5:0.5 has bishop divided by 0.5

??????

He was not showing up on the list for some reason lmao
Searched like four times lol
don't worry lol same thing happened to me a couple of times with Hart and Hamonic. Luckily I did a visual check before making myself look like a damn fool lol
