Now look at his defence. :)

Yandle (6.35m) - Klingberg (4.25m)
Nick Leddy (5.5m) - x
x - x
My defense is not even that bad, I don’t get that response.

klingberg and Yandle are both guys who will log massive minutes, Leddy has always been a solid top 4 guy.

I just need a shutdown D to support them.

Looks like my Top 6 is done!

Mantha (3.3m) - Seguin (9.85m) - Rantanen(9.25m)
Gustav Nyquist (5.5m) - Nick Suzuki/Bryan Little (0.86m) -Ilja Kovalchuk (.07)

Would love too hear some thoughts, looks really good on paper, that 1st line looks nasty

Killer first line! The second line is about average.

With all due respect, I think you need a few shutdown D to support them. In an ideal world all 3 of those guys would have a more defensively responsible partner that lets them go offensively. I don't love any of those 3 playing with eachother.

Funny thing is I was targeting Mccann, I wanted a youth second line.

versatile also, can play wing and C

But unfortunately he was taken right before.

Anthony Duclair - Ryan Nugent-Hopkins - Alexander Radulov
Zach Hyman - Ryan O'Reilly - Calle Järnkrok

Jaccob Slavin - PK Subban
Matt Grzelcyk - Brett Pesce

Frederik Andersen
Top 6 is complete and top 4 is complete , took a very different approach. Any thoughts?

Fair response.
Klingberg is coming off a pretty average year, but the guy is one of the best puck moving D in the games.

Yandle is as consistent as they come.

Yandle’s ice time has been drastically reduced the past two years. As someone else mentioned, he’s basically a PP specialist that needs to be sheltered on the bottom pairing at this point.

That first line is kind of average for me. I think that line would be a good 2nd line but would struggle as a first line. That 2nd line is a very good shut down match up line however. I would actually use that as your first line and use your RNH line against other 2nd lines.

But they are all consistently not shutdown guys. I’m not saying they can’t do it. Just that it’s not their forte

I had Hyman - O Reilly- Radulov but thought switching the Cs was a better fit.

I think all 3 guys are top 4 options for sure, I just don't know about the fit together. Maybe if you get one shutdown guy that can log big defensive zone minutes and have the other pairing sheltered it could work? Just seems like a D core that could be prone to be exploited on the road when you don't control matchups.

They do all move the puck well though, which is never a bad thing.

Was looking at Vatrano for a while before I realized he was 26 (stupid capfriendly filters not working right). Good pick.
