zone starts aren't very important at all, and GF% is an even worse predictor than CF%

Expected Goals are a better predictor of future scoring than Corsi, Goals

Thank you! It's crazy how people obsess over a guy getting 58% o-zone starts vs 42% d-zone starts when so many shifts start on-the-fly or in the neutral zones. The impact isn't as massive as some people think it is unless the zone start usage is really extreme. Who you play against and especially who you play with is what matters the most.

Who do you think replaced Subban? I know he was traded to NJ. Fabbro played last season too.

Fabbro played in college last season. He played ten games in Nashville at the end of the season, where he made very little impact.

My whole point is that he's not exactly a player that many would value highly at that point in the draft. Kind of a footnote on a D unit that has players who make his job easier.

Agreed. Greene isn't all that great either lol, but he should be forced to change it back to Larsson.
