LOL these values are all completely different. In what world is that Isles’ “offer” even remotely comparable to the Canes’ one?
In a world where subscription based podcasts and websites are trying to get traffic by the means of knowingly posting odd shit. It's almost become the same stupid clickbait you see on social media.

I have noticed Top Shelf Hockey dropping some videos on Miller & trade options

He listed / heard NYI, NJ & Carolina all still in the mix.

NJ - package around Severson, 1st & prospect
NYI - Baily, Mayfield & Bolduc (it was a prospect)
Car - Necas, Pesce / Bear, Pick

Out of them all Carolinas package seemed decent but I would rather some prospect(s) out of their system than pesce or bear
Lol at these 2 being interchangeable

Tage Thompson just got a 7 year 7.14MM AAV extension from Buffalo.

Still has one year left on current deal so he's now locked up for 8 years.

Better hope he keeps shooting 15% instead of his previous 6-8%!

Tage has a brother named Tyce.

What a family.

(There's a 6 inch difference between the two brothers heights. That's wild.)

What's incredible is that he's 6'7 and plays like a dude who is 5'10.

Its what he mentioned in a video last night. I thought the isles offer was terrible & commented that. I think the Islanders deal starts with Raty, 1st & maybe Beauvilier if they want to make a deal.

NYI return is essentially a double cap dump with really meh players.

Would only try and get an unprotected 1st round pick from NJ with Severson.

Carolina is not trading Pesce. It would be Necas and Bear with no picks. Meh but you may have to consider it at this point.
I wouldn't mind trying to get some prospects out of Carolina tbh. My guess is Joe Morrow is off limits but he wouldn't be a bad prospect to target

I don't see why Carolina would make Pesce available. Burns replaces Deangelo, they still need Pesce.

But the Canes still make the most sense to me with a deal centered around Necas or Morrow, and they have the space to fit Miller's extension (but Canes fans are adamant that is simply not the type of move their management team would make, which is fair).

Caps are also a good fit if Backstrom is done.

Isles won't give up Dobson and they have nothing else we want, so there's no fit there. Pens already traded away what we may have wanted, but I'm still of the mind that if we wanted Marino he would have been a Canuck a long time ago.

Bit worrying what Pettersson's extension will look like with some of these recent term extensions.

8 years, 11mil or something like that.

But, considering this would take him until his 34 yo / 35 yo season, I’d say that’s good. And, he didn’t want to sign for less than 10mil ish last time anyways, so the bridge may prove to be a good move.
