Islanders have lots of players on the block.

Some of the bigger names on the move are: Mark Streit, Andy Sutton, Breandan Witt, Sean Bergenheim and Frans Nielsen along with most picks and prospects.

Some of the smaller names on the list that could be traded are: Tim Jackman, Jon Sim, Richard Park, Radek Martinek, Bruno Gervais and Freddy Meyer.

Untouchables include: #1 pick, Okposo, Bailey, Hunter and Weight

Guys like Dipietro, Tambellini and Comeau could be dealt, but will likely stay.

The Columbus Blue Jackets have completed a minor trade with the Ottawa Senators to fill their need for a backup goaltender. The Jackets are please to announce that they have acquired Alex Auld from the Senators in exchange for a 2009 4th round pick.

"Alex will be expected to start 25-30 games this season in order to keep Steve Mason as fresh as possible as we attempt to get back into the playoffs," said Jackets GM Kev22.

Columbus continues their search for bottom six centers and an elite puck moving defenseman. Though the offense improved last season, Kev22 will consider any deal that will help improve the offense further. PM if interested.

Tanguay to stay a Canadiens for good

11-22758.jpg

Montreal Canadiens and winger Alex Tanguay agreed a new contract. A 6 years deal worth 27mil$ where Alex will receive 5.5mil$ in the first 2 years of the deal. A NMC is also included for these first 2 years and a full NTC for last 4 years of the deal.

''We are happy to announce that Alex will stay a Hab for the next 6 years. He wasn't looking to move his family again after moving twice since the lockout, he was home and looked to stay home. We were able to reach a contract that will please both sides.''
