READ THE RULES.

And make sure you have your roster & cap info posted in the roster thread!

[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Game Schedule

  • Entry Draft: TBA
  • Free Agency Begins: TBA
*All times ET, and subject to change.
[/fieldset]
[fieldset=""]
Salary Cap

  • The salary cap maximum for the 2014-2015 season will be $71.1M.
  • Teams may exceed the cap maximum by 10% during the offseason.
  • Teams must comply with the salary cap by the end of the game.
  • Teams may have a roster of no more than 23 players by the end of the game.
  • Teams may sign their draft picks to contracts using the ENTRY LEVEL CONTRACT CHART
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Waivers/Buyouts
  • Post in this thread if you’d like to place a player on waivers.
  • Each team has the option of sending ONE player on a 1-way contract to the minors or Europe due to cap reasons.
  • Burying a player in the minors or Europe only eliminates a maximum of $900k of their cap hit.
  • A player will be on waivers for 24 hours.
  • Waiver priority will be based on the 2013-2014 NHL standings.
  • If a team claims a player off of waivers, they then have the lowest waiver priority.
  • Compliance buyouts are permitted prior to the Free Agency period. Real life buyouts count to the 2 buyout total.
[/fieldset]

[fieldset=""]Trades
  • All trades must be sent to IslesRock4 and AnalogMan or else they are not valid.
  • Once a trade is agreed upon, send it in BEFORE POSTING, and then you can announce it in the thread. A deal without a NTC or NMC does not have to be approved.
  • If a trade is announced prior to it being sent in, it will be vetoed.
  • ALL MOVES MUST BE SOMEWHAT REALISTIC. The commissioners hold the power to veto any ridiculous trades.
  • A trade involving a NTC or NMC must be sent in by BOTH GMs with a reasoning for the player to waive. The trade must be approved by BOTH trade managers prior to posting. Keep in mind it will only be on a rare occasion that a NTC or NMC is waived.
  • If a trade involving a NTC or NMC is announced before approval, it will be vetoed.
  • If a team does not have enough cap space to complete a trade that has been sent in, the trade will be vetoed.
  • Vetoed deals will require a significant re-work in order for them to be accepted.
  • If a player waives his NTC or NMC, the NTC or NMC is still valid with their new team.

On the Block:
Prospects
Draft picks
Teddy Purcell
Brett Connolly
Ryan Malone
Mark Barberio
Anders Lindback

Looking for:
Top 4 d-men
Top 6 forwards
Good defensive prospect

I may look at moving Teddy Purcell + a guy like Brett Connolly for an upgrade at forward or for a top 4 d-man. If I'm unable to do so, I may also look at just moving Purcell for a good prospect/draft pick.

I've had a ton of discussions about Ryan O'Reilly but nothing imminent. If you make an offer it must include an under 25 top 4 defensman. Project defensman, bottom pairing defensman, and prospects are of little interest as the centrepiece of a deal for ROR. I may also have interest in moving O'Reilly for a legitimate top pairing defensman. Ideally this defensman would be left handed and not just offensively orientated.

Other pieces I have on the block:
Parenteau
Stefan Elliott
2014 1st
All prospects

For the above, I'm interested in adding a Jamie McGinn like top 9 winger and defensmen. Young struggling defensmen are of interest.

Looking to add size down the middle (2nd and 3rd lines), a bigger 3rd line winger, and a top pairing defenseman.

Hall, Nuge, Perron, Schultz, Gazdic, Hendricks, and Scrivens aren't available.

Actively shopping Sam Gagner. Pretending to listen to offers on Nail Yakupov and the 3rd OV pick.

I have a glutton of LHD prospects (Musil, Gernat, etc.), looking to swap them for comparable RHD prospects from a team with an excess.

I want to make this team better; either for the present or the future I haven't decided yet. Feel free to send some PMs to start some talks but I will NOT reply to any messages that are along the lines of "what's the price".

To :hawks:
Penguins 2015 2nd round pick
Penguins 2016 5th round pick

Steeger is great guy but Hawks have a ton of youth in pipeline at wing or who can play wing (Morin , Nordstrom , McNeill , Danault , etc) that we felt a youth movement is best for Hawks right now in bottom 6

As is the Hawks strategy of recent years looking for picks to allow restocking of system was priority

Taking offers on Mike Richards and Dustin Brown but not looking to "dump" either. A top 4, shutdown defenseman is my biggest priority but also looking at adding another top 6 winger as well. Martin Jones, Kyle Clifford and Dwight King could all be moved amongst otheres. Only untouchables are Kopitar, Carter, Doughty and Quick.

Looking to beef up the offense. Will listen to offers for Shea Weber if it involves a quality young forward as the centerpiece of the return, but not actively shopping him.

Available: Mike Fisher, Paul Gaustad, Eric Nystrom, Nick Spaling and Ryan Ellis.

Untouchable: Pekka Rinne and Seth Jones.

The Montreal Canadiens have traded forward Lars Eller to the Washington Capitals for forward Marcus Johansson.

"After a difficult season, Eller was able to rebound during the playoffs. However, he didn't really breakout in Montreal. We had the intention to use Galchenyuk as a center next season and Eller isn't as effective as a winger. We believe that Johansson is better suited to play on the wing in an offensive role. Both players will likely benefit from a change of scenery. They are still young and the potential is there. We would like to wish Eller all the best in Washington."

TRADE ANNOUNCEMENT

:bolts :jets

The Winnipeg Jets have acquired forward Alex Killorn, Cédric Paquette and Lightnting 1st round selection in 2014 from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange of defenseman Zach Bogosian and rights to forward Alexander Burmistrov.

''We are very high on Alex (Killorn). He's a big forward with a lot of maturity, plays a strong two-way game with a bunch of offensive upside, with very good puck protection and playmaking skills. He's can play physical too, a solid all-around forward with great work-ethic who fits exactly what we want to build''.

''We are also very high of Cedric (Paquette). He's a big with very good upside. He's a solid playmaking with a good shot as well, he throws his weight around a lot, and fight and step up for a teammates and has good two-way upside as well. He's a guy with great work-ethic who never stopped working hard, he'll be a part of our future for sure''.

''We are happy to add another 1st round pick. We like the depth of this Draft, there's a lot of players who play our style of hockey and what we want to build. We want to wish good luck to Zach Bogosian and Alex Burmistrov in Tampa Bay''.

Thanks to Nuckles for the smooth negotiations.

:sharks waive Brad Stuart.

I probably could get something for him, but he has a NTC, and won't return much, os this is easier.

Looking for Top 6 C/W and Top 4 RH d-man. Generally looking to get younger, but not interested in prospects so much, I want NHL-ready guys.

Shopping Franzen, Andersson, Tootoo, Glendening, Kindl, Lashoff and most prospects. Could move Tatar.

Nyquist, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Mantha, Kronwall and Howard are not going anywhere.

Looking to add some scoring, and to solidify the defense.

Umberger and Boll are being shopped. Other pieces that are available in the right deal are; Wiz, Tyutin, Anisimov, Atkinson, some prospects and our draft picks. Would be hesitant to move some of the younger players mentioned.

The only true "untouchables" are Ryan Johansen and Ryan Murray.
