Chytil now has 10 goals and 14 points in his last 12 games. All while still averaging only around 15 min a game and little to no PP time. While he's not going to score at this pace forever it also doesn't seem like a fluke in any way. He's constantly attacking the net and you can make an argument that his shot is borderline elite right now.

Panarin was still kind of shit tonight but this was the kind of "bad" game he had during his hart season where he'd be either invisible or bad through 2 and then show up in the 3rd.

Credit where its due, he was the driver on the shift right after the 4th goal against and we totally stole momentum back after what could have been a back breaking and deflating goal.
He’s a great player. I really don’t know where this is coming from.

Lafreniere has looked like a different player ever since being back with Fil and Kaapo. He looks like he has more guest and speed on his strides and he’s actually playing with pace and looking to make things happen. Tonight his skating was particularly noticeable.

Now we need to pick up a right winger for Mika and Bread, slide Vesey to 3RW and put Goodrow at 4C.

Laf-Fil-KK looks like it should stay together. Gallant seemed to be trusting them big time too. They simply play their best hockey together at this point, them overly deferring to the veteran line mates is a real thing.

Having that line and then the Kreider-Trocheck duo on line 3 gives you 2/3 of an extremely solid top 9. Now we just need Mika and Panarin to really start to gel.
Kids are better together because it allows them to play THEIR game rather than trying to conform to game of the "stars".....they are not finesse players!!!

Gallant on the bench the entire game

we need a RWer.

I honestly dont mind Vesey with Zibs and Panarin.

It's Goodrow that's killing me

Go get Tank or LaBanc.

Tank > Vesey slots down with Trocheck > Goodrow 4C
LaBanc w/Trocheck > Goodrow 4C

either one works for me.

i don’t know how much it matters but we’ve played exceptionally well against tough teams lately.

calgary are big and very physical and we were the aggressor basically all game. same with the minnesota game. it’s a nice little change

It’s not very often you see three huge open ice hits each result in a power play for the team that threw the hit.

Trouba having to fight twice in one game after 2 different clean hits is a joke. Trouba can handle himself and he tuned Dube up in the second fight but it’s pretty ridiculous that he has to fight after every clean big hit he has.

We have what looks to be an elite 2nd line.

We have what looks to be an elite 3rd line.

We have the pieces in Bread and Zib to make a very good (even if not elite) 1st line. If we can just get that, this team is incredibly dangerous.
Vesey definitely has his moments but need a more definitive solution in that spot
