Question. Does the SHL still give a Rookie of the Year award? If so, could Raymond (in theory) win it? Or has he played too many games at limited minutes?

This was one really informative post from another poster, not me.

I'm looking forward to seeing Rogle and Seider play against Skelleftea. Not only is Berggren on Skelleftea, but also Broberg. Broberg is having a great start to the season and I'd love to see him get splatted against the boards by Seider during an ill-advised rush up ice.

Also really looking forward to seeing how Johansson fares against Rogle. They're the best team in the SHL right now so it'll be interesting to see how he manages against that forward group.

He did? I'm not seeing that on the scoresheet
No, I don't know what the hell happened. I was following along on the SHL site where they do the script play by play and when i went back in I must have clicked on the previous game sheet where he DID score and I got the games mixed up. I wasn't even drinking at the time.

That's pretty much my excuse for posting anything on the internet: I was drinking.

Anywhat, if someone might be so kind as to give me a heads-up where one might watch these games, I would be appreciative.

Assist for Seider on Rögle’s 2nd goal, shot from the point, Rögle scored after picking up the rebound. Nice shift from Seider on one of the few occasions he’s gotten an o-zone start so far.

Rögle loses in 3-on-3 OT, no icetime for Seider in OT. Quite a good game for Moritz, he had one error that I could notice which was a difficult attempt at a backhand pass on the powerplay that failed. Otherwise plays simple, smart, lots of good defensive work and plenty of great passes. Also had an offensive rush late in the 3rd that almost ended up in a really good scoring chance for him.
Played almost 20 minutes so he got a lot more icetime than in his 1st game.

what do you think of the physicality in shl in the games you seen?
It's decent, I've been a little surprised at seeing some pretty solid hits.

I enjoy watching these games. There is a some very high skill in these lineups in younger players who have not played in the NHL yet and a great pace of play with the absence of any TV timeouts.

Raymond has a lot of developing to do in his own zone and in the neutral zone. I don't know if it is because of Frolunda's system or not, but he is way too often low in his own zone defending.
