So, essentially, Myers + Armia + Lemieux + late-1st for Kane + Bogo. The HF Trade Value Gestapo won't like it, but it's huge risk/huge reward.

Ok I'm curious, who here has strong opinions one way or another about Bogosian?
Lets hear them.
I honestly have not watched many Jets games over the last two years.

Great team guy. Strong , physical and a good puck mover. Probably a great 2RHD. Signed very long term to a good contract. Outdoorsy guy with his head screwed on straight. He will be loved in Buf imo.

What exactly is the huge reward?! Guy hasn't hit 60 points in his entire career. Still riding his draft status?

If that's going to WPG, I would guess Buffalo is getting something else. Not overly excited about losing Armia.

He's a big, solid 2nd pairing RHD.

Good fit if they are sold on Risto being that #1 guy.

He's a 2nd pairing, 2nd PP, & 2nd PK guy with the Jets.

Got to be Myers going the other way. Helps the tank.

At the beginning I said Hodgson and Ennis were expendable and got ridiculed. Then I said trade Myers and that should solidify last place and got jumped on and told Myers "ain't going nowhere".

lol, silly posters.

a downgrade on defense (the overall makeup of the blueline takes a hit as well)
and then Armia, Lemiuex, 1st for Kane

the good news... we increase the # of top 10 picks on the roster by 2 :dunno:

Will fix everything
IF this deal is accurate, it really comes down to:

The Sabres have a high volume of assets and are willing to overpay.

We trade Lemieux AND Armia, we still have Compher, Fasching, Bailey, Baptiste, etc....

There's only so many roster spots.

Bogosian has been a different player since he came back from the injury this year. Really putting up points. Playing more physical too IMO.
