Erik Karlsson has been on the ice for 11/13 goals against so far this series.

Close this dumb thread already, the guy leads the Sharks in points and is 5th league wide. Whatever deficiencies he has due to injury surely aren't making him a "liability".

Uranus
EK65 is clearly still injured, his turns and first steps are missing, but he really looked possessed in the 3rd and OT to close out the series. Haters will hate.

Because I have watched him play ever since he joined the NHL and the team that I follow?

His pivots have always been an issue and this is pre ankle/achilles injury.

I guess he wasn't always great at them but they took a huge hit after Cooke. You could visibly see that he had to change how he would pivot after Cooke.

Just quit follow hockey, or at least post in a open forum

Karlsson has always been an extremely unorthodox skater when it comes to defending. He is extremely fast in a straight line towards the o-zone but he has issues pivoting and skating backwards. He will often turn all the way around and skate in a straight line rather than skate backwards.

Just a high risk, high reward player.

On the ice for 16 of 23 goals for, and 17 of 25 goals against.

Only -3 in seven games on a team that advanced. Ryan McDonagh was -6 in four games on a team that didn't.
