At first glance I thought the habs had aquired that overhyped Burke/Leafs goalie nicknamed "The Monster" from a few years back lol

In a Barred Spiral
Flyers fan- Gus was poor in his time in Philly, but he can be tolerable if he can be insulated by a much better defensively partner/system which Flyers didn’t have. He makes really poor pinches and often gets caught and is almost useless in his own end. Just makes those gaffes that makes you wonder if he has a brain. However offensively, he can occasionally make things happen. Good outlet pass if he has options. Also has a decent shot and knows how to get it on net from the point and so is a solid option for the PP.
Sounds like a marginally better Kulak. Kulak sucks offensively and defensively.

Good PP distributor, defensive side is a mess.

I don’t know what to make of this, at least nothing of value was given.

At least it shows MB is aware there's a need for some skill on the back end.

Usually it takes him a few tries to fill a hole. At least this shows he's aware there's a hole.

The retention is probably because he was the only one asking for the dude, so Flyers would rather have the pick than keep their plug

indeed... a useless move but one that doesn't cost anything, hopefully... chance to throw more sh*t at the wall and hope something sticks i guess.

but it does beg the question of where exactly does he slot in? Does this mean that Romanov will now be getting the yo-yo treatment to make room for the 2 vets MB added? if so, that would be a net negative.
Will replace kulak from time to time

Dew drops and rainforest
How does a guy go from a 60+ point D man to a 7th rounder in a few years.

Not seeing where he goes in the lineup. If he's as weak defensively as people are saying I don't see anyone on the right side who can compensate for that.

Edit: I didn't realize he plays the right side. Still don't want him paired with Romanov on the 3rd.

He can't. If you put Gustafsson in Webers' matchups, he's going to be destroyed.

He’ll be exposed everywhere. Dumpster diving again.

The worst part of this is even if he plays, they will keep Weber on the PP. That’s how dumb this coach is.

It’s like looking at an ad for anything that seems to good to be true. How does a guy go from 60 points just two seasons ago to a 7th round pick at 50% retained? There has to be something missing here.

The guy is a PP specialist, seems like a liability everywhere else. Maybe we can keep Weber off the PP and give him less minutes that way, but that's about it.

They had almost 3M in available cap space because of Gallagher being on LTIR, so they still have a bit of room if they need to do something else but I think that's about it.

We could always send Lehkonen or Armia the other way.

Hoffman and Murray still expected to move.
