its 9 games max without consequences, 10 games you burn a yearI always thought it was 9 games but in a condensed schedule makes sense

not saying he should play, but he'd surely get top line minutes in Ottawa. I dont think they have much to lose by keeping him unless hes really bad. This just reinforces my point that Stutzle should just stay in Germany till next season.

Is there really an issue with losing the ability to slide the contract? If he didn’t make it this year I’d assume he’s a lock for the following year. I know it’s a contract issue years from now but you do whatever is right for the player now. If he needs ten games and you lose the slide, so be it.Making a decision after 6 games makes me a little nervous.
If there is a 56 game season then it is a prorated ratio as that is 2/3 of a 82 game season pretty much.Making a decision after 6 games makes me a little nervous.
If you play game 10 you burn the season. So if you play game 7 you burn it this season. Seems fair in a 2/3 season.I thought it was nine games all these years.
Thought nine was reasonable, but ten was a tad bit too much.
If it's only for this season I believe it might be because of the quarantine guidelines.
They did the same thing with last year's roster freeze. Just now it's pro-rated to 56/82 instead of 70/82. Waivers and expansion draft requirements will also be pro-rated.
Permanently, or just for this shortened season ?
If it's just for this season, why ? Never did for the other shortened season
Slide slide slippity-slideMaybe add the word 'slide' to the thread title.
Incorrect, they did the same in the 48 game 2012-13 season, using the same pro-ration formula.
This just reinforces my point that Stutzle should just stay in Germany till next season.
Ah, so this is 6.
Also I don’t understand the 10 game rule. For example after 9 games you could send them back at any point regardless. Like Buffalo did with Grigorenko and Edmonton with Drai. 10 games is just when it no long slides. So really it is still 9 games as everyone commonly referred to cause 10+ is makes no difference anymore
