I have no idea how United can play unimaginative putrid football the whole year and be tied for 4th.

There's a possibility that Arsenal drop out of the top 4 by the end of March. United only what, 4 points off?

This has been the best season in a while.

its important to note City have a game in hand (Newcastle away), nothing is guaranteed with them but they should pick up three points there

It's impossible to maintain consistency with the lower teams being able to buy players who can come up with something from nothing and win matches. The lower teams are also getting better managers and better tactics.

Who needs nuance when you can just make ridiculous quips all day?

It's also true, but United should never be where they are. They don't have the balance and overall quality.

They have quality players, but they don't have a good manager and I really can't figure out why they are where they are either.

A couple of weeks ago you were saying how it's pointless in buying foreign players when they have to play for the likes of fat sam. Big teams in EPL have regressed this year...they'll bounce back next year but they in general are mediocre compared to the big European teams.

Which is good for the league.

United have not been able to play the kind of football they wanted largely due to huge injury woes (Shaw injury basically killed offense coming from the left wing). It's remarkable how much better they've been offensively the past few weeks with so many kids in the line up. It also helps to have the best keeper in the league.

They have quality at the same positions. They have AWFUL quality at other positions.
And no doubt injuries have hurt them. Another reason why they should never be where they are.
They had a lot of late good breaksin tight games. And it seems some teams respect them too much.
West Ham have been better than United this year for instance. By a wide margin. Yet they're behind.

Another good one ! :D

Still think they will lose. They won't win in a tie. They have to win outright. If you want to look at it this way....they can't afford another loss. If they don't lose they'll be fine. That was the case before yesterday. Nothing has really changed except instead of being up 2 they are up 3.
