As someone who enjoyed both Recovery and MMLP2 (although the latter is definitely my favorite of the two), I don't think this album is as trash as people are making it out to be. It's by no means a classic by Em's standards but I'd still give it somewhere between a 7 and 7.5 (compared to say Recovery which is a 8.75 & MMLP2 a 9.25). I think the album sounds better every time you re-listen to it. That being said, I would be disappointed if this ends up being his last album.
Walk On Water: 7.5/10 (Em has some very good lines in this one)
Believe: 5/10 (Not a fan of trap rap and the chorus is meh but this one is alright I guess)
Chloraseptic: 4/10 (Ditto but this one is even more your cliche trap song of nowadays)
Untouchable: 9/10 (Some don't like it but I do, the chorus is goofy a la White America and the message although very obvious is strong)
River: 8/10 (I like Sheeran so it's not surprising that I liked this one)
Remind Me: 2/10 (I hate this song, although it's not as trash as the first time I heard it but it's definitely skipable. Sounds so awkward and forced with the I Love Rock N Roll sample)
Like Home: 6/10 (Meh it's alright, chorus is nice but some radio friendly song)
Bad Husband: 6/10 (Weird beats in this one, message ain't bad but it's not the best either)
Tragic Endings: 6/10 (Ditto)
Framed: 9/10 (I really like this one for some reason, the beat is sick and i just like the vibe it gives)
Nowhere Fast: 6.5/10 (Ditto)
Heat: 3/10 (This one is easily skipable too)
Offended: 7/10 (This one is kind of weird, I'm pretty meh on the chorus but there are some good lines in this one)
Need Me: 6.5/10 (Cheap version of love the way you lie)
In Your Head: 9/10 (Love the original Cranberries song plus love the added drums)
Castle: 8/10
Arose: 8/10
Essentially as pointed out, you remove some the crap songs and this album looks much better. That being said, I recall MM saying he wanted to have every song sound different, which I think is something that he definitely achieved, for better or worse I guess. I can respect that decision although it will inevitably hurt his sales with the bad reviews this album will get. This album is essentially a worse version of Recovery & Relapse.
