In play, he's mostly RW, but he's taken more draws than Monahan, so in the dot Peters is obviously playing to a strength.

Not as well as playing wing apparently and now he is playing right wing.

I realize he's playing wing at this exact moment in time, but he's perfectly capable of playing center and would do so if the Flames roster demanded it. Obviously he's not taking Monahan's place in that role, so he will be at wing because he's flexible enough to do that and still be effective.

edit: Actually maybe he is even displacing Monahan, at least as a faceoff man, per the post above this one.

Could Kapanen play a top-9 center role if called upon?

Taking faceoffs on the right hand side doesnt mean he is playing center it just means that more faceoffs have been on the right side of the ice. Its a good strategy for sure and definitely a plus to have in his game. But he has proven not to be a top two line center production wise and was traded on top of it now moved to the wing. So to me he is a winger.

Haha Leafs fans wanted a 3rd for KK this summer or were treating him as a throw in for trades.

Few games later with Matthews going super saiyen and he's a top liner.

No way they were taking a 3rd round pick for him thats complete hyperbole. He was a first rounder who is developing very well ever since.

Production doesn’t matter so much on the penalty kill. Regardless how the Flames use him at even strength, Lindholm is a right handed center who’s good on draws, defensively competent, and has the puck skill to lug it himself.

Look at the Canes PK efficiency since losing him, even in spite of getting better defensemen and equal goaltending.

Is Kapanen playing on the Leafs PK?

To note. Lindholm is the "RW" in Calgary on paper.
He's taking on centre defensive responsibilities in his own end a lot of the time.

The leafs fans that are actual hockey fans and not just homers, actually man up and admit their player is inferior here. People voting for kapanen have no argument to make. Unfair poll imo.

Kapanen has been better to start this season and is younger, you can’t say no argument lmao
they have the same ppg so far and same amount of goals with lindholm having played 2 fewer games. Lindholm is supeior in literally every other aspect of the game. Like i said people voting for kapanen here dont watch anything but leafs games and fall asleep at 10pm est. Also did i mention they're only a year apart in age and lindholm is already at 200 points compared to kapanens 18?

No argument to be made for kap here,
I wouldnt try.

Closer to 2 years, but I see your point.
