Why would it being kept quite mean it will be bad? I mean it might be but the fact it was kept pretty quite leading up to the announcement wouldn't really be a reason for it.

Just feel like a "big" product would be impossible to keep under wraps. The fact is was might mean there wasn't much production. Of course I could be completely wrong.

I liked the ending--Cranston, his character had to end the way it ended--there was no salvation

Yes, common knowledge for months. In fact, it was publicly stated that it was a reason for the delay in the next season of Better Call Saul.

It's been known since last year probably even before Star Trek: Picard was announced. I saw a zillion articles on Consequence of Sound, EW, etc.
