The National Hockey League announced today that Coyotes defenseman Oliver Ekman-Larsson has been selected to represent the Coyotes at the 2015 Honda NHL All-Star Game, which takes place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio on Sunday, January 25.

Congrats to OEL!

OEL should tear up the skills comp. Looking forward to it. I love how Vrbata somehow makes it, but the Sedin's don't

I'm not sure he deserves this over Yandle, but the exposure is nice.

Yandle never gets anything. No Olympics and no all-star game.

Still happy to see my favorite Coyote in the ASG.

It's all just a show anyway. OEL is prettier to watch than Yandle, even though Yands might deserve it more. I'm sure the guys who missed out won't be bothered, they simply get a few more days rest.

Yandle never gets anything. No Olympics and no all-star game.

In all fairness, you could argue that Smith, Whitney, and Vrbata deserved an all-star nod over Yandle in 2012, since they were playing lights out that season, and Yands was having a bit of a down year.

They try to send at least one token player from each team. I mean, does RNH really belong there? Elias? It's just a show.

Yandle was our best player at the start of the season, OEL has been the best player as of late. It isn't a big deal. I'd have been happy with either of the two and wouldn't have cared if niether of them went. I find all the negativity at one of our own players selection a bit odd.
