If the goal is the get above the cap floor, i'd rather they go after a FA that's known for leadership and work ethic, than a player of Spezza's ilk (i know he is the Sens captain, but i think he is more skill than work ethic). Read as: Callahan.

Seriously though, I doubt there is a high probiblity that they would be interested even next summer if they get a Sam in 2014 and McD or JackE in 2015.
