Rinne was amazing! Kontiola was the best skater from team Finland, IMO. The SM-liiga centers (Ramstedt and I. Filppula) didn't convince me at all, it'll be great to have Mikko back on Friday.

Viklund and Fantenberg struggling a bit defensively for SWE, but that was probably expected. MÃ¥rtensson taking a surprisingly big amount of defensive responsibility though. :handclap:

Whose problems are these?

Russia's. No Malkin, no offense. They didn't get anything done until Finland switch to a quicker North-South offense to chase for the tying goals, slightly cutting down on the puck control they used most of the game. Finland was always going to control the puck more and since Russia was for some reason so eager to give it a away themselves, this was the result. Well actually, if Finland had any finishers, we would have won the game on regulation. Scoring on the wide open nets is so hard for us.

Landeskog has been awfully weak on the puck in this game.

Also, Sweden has been completely outmatched physically in this game.

This Swedish team is really crappy. The defense isn't even close to being good enough for the national team.
The young NHL players aren't impressing anyone either. Hedman, Landeskog, Backlund and Hörnqvist are all disappointing.

Hedman has been good imo, playing more like he should in a shutdown role. No goals against for him in the first two games. All the forwards have been underwhelming no doubt.

The team played well except for that 5 min PP and carried the game. There were not a whole lot of scoring chances but the russians were better once they got theirs. Hedman was very solid today, I also liked Söderberg and Thörnberg.

Söderberg, Thörnberg, Mårtensson, Lundqvist and Pettersson. Wouldn't mind Mårts building something around them. Those guys are solid, you know what you get and they're accustomed to the rink size and level. Then add players to the top.

lol seriously? winning the world championship in style is boring for you?? oi

lol, did you sее the game? absolutely different from the WC. All out defence. Looks like Bill have players for attack (NHL stars+Radulov) and other players for defence. Last year EHT was the same.
