Sweden is going to have a hard time containing Russia and Finland with that defense.

Where is Oskar Osala?
No idea. Sure, Pihlström is the faster one of the two, but Osala is better at everything else.

But other than that I like the squad.

I like the team, although Osala should've been chosen and I wish V. Filppula and Korpikoski had been able to join the team. Those two would've formed a perfect 1st line with Koivu.

I thought that Hagman doesn't want to play NT this year...Korpikoski? V. Filppula? Nice to see Ramstedt and I. Filppula...5 offensive minded d-men?

What is Väänänen doing there? I have never understund why he is in the National Team!? There is like 20 better defenders in Finland. I would have taken Karalahti or Söderholm.

Are you kidding me? Väänänen has been always solid and there's never enough size in Finland's D

Mamashev would be a better choice
If you read Bill's interviews you will get his concept. It was a logical choice. And he's not doing it for the fans at this tournament. A pity though. I was looking forward to seeing Kulikov at EHT and in tomorrow's game for that matter.

What the ****? Can anything else be said. How can someone not understand Väänänen being in the team? I mean seriousely? If you say that from hietanen, ok, puistola, ok... You allmost can say that from any D-man but not Väänänen. Väänänen is a lock. The best Defensive Defenseman available basicly every time. Väänänen was key factor in Winning 2011 gold.. Väänänen - Järvinen was the best pairing in 2012.

I think im sensin ridiclouse sm-liiga fanboysm having something to do with this.. Personally, I think SM-Liiga is absolutely nothing, when it comes to national team. I dont give a **** what league or what team guys have played. Im KalPa fan but Im ok if theres whole JyP team on the ice, if its the best solution.

Are you joking? Karalahti is not that much better than Väänänen, and the guy's got issues with the coach, there's no way he'd even come if Jalonen asked. And Söderholm is old, slow and a lot less helpful than Väänänen. Who are the other 18 better defensive-minded dmen in Finland, in your opinion?
