Rumor: Edmonton Oilers are the front runners to sign Paul Ranger

There are hundreds an hundreds of rumors around the league each year and 99% of them dont turn out to be true yet here on HF everyone is accepted as fact by so many people.

I dont get it. Why get all worked up over nothing.

You can take this with a grain of salt if you wish, and things in Ranger's situation may have changed, but as of about March of 2013, a very good "source" (friend of mine who has more information than most) told me Ranger had no interest in the NHL.

So a guy, who wanted to play at home, will leave and go back on to the grind.

I'll be surprised if he goes.

top 4?.......not sure he was even in the top 10 of all AHL defenseman?..edmonton can sign every guy they want ,end of tyhe day in a few years are gonna have mega cap issues ,ranger isnt a concern ,

you do realize that there was a time that Ranger was projected to be a #1 Dman for Tampa, heck, they refused to trade him away for giroux...

I'm not saying top 4 in the league, I'm saying top 4 on the leafs.
