Yep, saw that one the replay. King is so terrible that we basically can never play zone. Is King really a better option than Muamba?

Zylstra has looked good - I've had a good feeling about him since camp for some reason. He's likely Walker's replacement for next year at the moment.
I don't see anything in King he might be the worst eskimo i can remember. There will be a good battle for receiving spots next year, Bryant and Washington are looking pretty good on the PR right now

I love Maas but his stubbornness and unwillingness to turn away from players when they're not performing (King, Doe, Young etc.) has me really worried.

Its funny how people blame Doe, our blocking is terrible

You are definitely not wrong either.....however, compared to other returners he is by far the worst at reacting after the catch. Most often he takes half a second to see what's coming and by then he's stuck and gets, at most, a 6 yard gain. That's terrible.

Our blocking can be better also, but c'mon

Literally every other big play the Esks make, there seems to be a flag negating it. I mean I already watch mediocre reffing in the NFL but CFL officiating is next level stuff...

I like how they blatantly ignored the holding penalty that should of went to the Lions O-Line on the last play.

The general execution of almost everything is poor. Bell was a bright spot, Reilly came through when he had to, and Bowman/Walker is still easily the best receiving tandem in the league. I mean, parts of the defence are coming together, and we are seeing some improvement in terms of pass rush and half-back coverage, but there is a long way to go before this team can really go blow for blow with the Stamps (and I don't care if we win a single cross-over game, the CFL is always about the championship and we're either going to have to beat the Hammer or Calgary for that).

Amazing...get a little pressure on the QB with some disguised blitz's and the defence looks better and is able to close out the game.

Gee...who would have guessed that? :dunno:

Yeah they won. Doesn't change much. Still a bad team.

This Eskimos team is far from out of the woods, no doubt. However, having watched last night's game twice (once at Commonwealth & again on TV this morning), I can only conclude that you a.) didn't see it, b.) are just trying to stir the pot or c.) both.

So bad they should just throw in the towel right:popcorn:

They basically did against the Riders. No excuse to lose to that team.

I saw the game. I also saw the previous game in which they lost to the worst CFL team of the past 20 seasons. One win doesn't change that and they were asleep early in this one. Reilly pulled them back. The defense was lousy again.
