I think the games are getting to him- he looked awful on Friday compared to before the injury ( it also may be that Crosby ate him for lunch and would have done so with the pre injury Karlsson).

I do think once Redden or Seids is ready they are coming back. It doesn't look like Ference is odd if he isn't skating yet. I don't see Julien leaving 3 rookies in the line up if he doesn't have to.

I figure Krug will come out and Bart and Hamilton stay if its Redden.

When Seids comes back I figure Dougie is out of the line up unless he beats Redden back (then I can see them going with the planned defense for the Leafs game 7).

I think the kids are doing great but Torts is going to figure out a way to expose them-and if we get by the Rangers the Pens and and Sens sure as heck will.

No coach would leave 3 rooks in if they didn`t have to so I really have no issues with this but I`m not too sure Torts would figure anything out though. He`s a Cup winning coach but still, IMO, one of the most over rated coaches out there. In the Rag games I watch, I see no in game adjustments, I see the Rags basically just executing his game plan better on some nights which isn`t much different from our boys.

His MO has long been, block shots/passing lanes, then use the stretch pass, other than that, I see little to nothing as far as systems

Still a believer that the loss of real character guys like Prust/Dubinsky and the big body of Anisimov is missed there

Torts still under .500 in the playoffs if not mistaken

I don't watch enough Rangers games to know if he adjusts in game or game to game-I am not a huge fan of his game plan. I am in general not a Torts fan (although his sound bites are often funny and truthful).

But I can't imagine a good coach looking at our defense with three rookies and not trying to adjust in a way that exposes them. Bylsma and defintitly Maclean certainly would have worded something up in the first game.

He had 60 mins to do it in game 1, game plan from the opening puck drop should have been to attack the kids, instead, Torts and his old school thinking was to dump the puck continuously into the corner of a Norris winning D-man and tire him out:shakehead

Another issue is this, if he was aware, he would have seen those 3 kids turn/retrieve quickly then move the puck up ice then adjusted to a carry the puck in approach, try and expose them wide.

Again, he didn`t, many here nail CJ for not being quick enough to adjust and rightly so at times, but Torts did absolutely nothing, the guy gets far too much credit around here IMO

And his soundbites??? He`s like Don Cherry, once you`ve heard them once, the rest is boring IMO, just loves the sound of his own voice

Will be cutting out of a niece's bday party early to catch this one. I'm sure I'll draw plenty of dirty looks, so hope the boys make it worth pissing off family and come away with the W

can't skip out of my son's 6th b-day party, but since i'm tivoing the game i will have a strict zero tolerance policy for any dads that are there watching on their phones. any sudden cheers or cuss words and the phone is shut off. any announcing of scores and they and their kids will be escorted off the premises.

Not happy about TSN getting the rights to this series up here in Canada. I am in the middle of moving and streaming is the only way to catch the games. TSN got rid of their online streaming a while back, so until I move in on May 31st, CBC is the only broadcast I can get.

nice, the last playoff game I missed was the Tim Taylor toe in the crease game because of my kid's birthday....I was watching, lost it and we ended up having one of the worst fights ever. Today is my first miss since then, but the odds of me having any problems will be limited to my dog bugging me to go for a walk. My yute is visiting her older sister so I figured perfect situation to give my friend who buys a bunch of my tix this game.

Enjoy your day, I have confidence from reading you that you will handle any problems better than I did that time:laugh:

The three rookies would be exposed big time if we were playing the Pens but
these are the Rangers and a quick transition game may well be the way to go. It's hard to score on these guys is they have the time to set up the D. The simple threat of the transition these guys provide would probably take from what is already a challenged offense the Rangers have. The vets on this team are simply not able to transition the way the rookies can. I think you can and should use at least two of the rookies if not all three against the Rangers regardless of the health of the vets.

seems weird that we're just getting to game 2 of this series meanwhile the SJ/LA series is heading to game 4. Why is that? scheduling conflicts with MSG and the TDGarden?

Northeastern had the graduation at TD garden this past week? Also NBC probably wanted this game as their big draw for the Sunday afternoon game.

Currently sitting on the floor of the Dunkin Donuts center for my PC commencment. Had to alter dinner plans after once the B's won on monday - can't say I'm upset. Supposed to be going to Flemmings but changed to Bar Louie for obvious reasons haha.

A nice grad present would be a win but Ill sacrifice today if it means watching hockey in late June. LETS GO

I know the Knicks just finished their season last night. I'm not sure if it was a conflict or just for rest. Whatever it is, I'm glad. I'm sure the extra day off is huge for those guys to rest up.

@drosennhl: In the stuff you don't see everyday department, Bobby Orr just walked through the media work room here at TD Garden.

Hell baby
I can genuinely say I like the Rangers fans.

Something questionable needs to happen soon. This does not feel right.
