I see your Point, but Alex works always hard when ever i saw a Game from him.
OK, he struggle a bit in the Playoffs now.

I see him in the Hall of Fame and think he deserves a Cup.

We have different Opinions and that is ok for me.

He is a first ballot HOF guy no doubt and rightfully so. He's an offensive force and might be the greatest goal scorer since mike bossy. I actually think Bonino's embellished high stick the other night really lit a fire in OV. Still hope he loses tonight though.

Anyone think Sid really does have a concussion? Im pretty suspicious of the whole thing. I really hope not but he sure doesn't look the same. Gotta wonder if they have Dr Nick Riviera signing off on things and Sid is making his last run. Would be a shame, and im probably wrong. But to me the timelines don't add up, neither does the way he looks.

What kind of game do you think they will call. Usually a game 7 is spent by both teams forgetting about all the crap and just trying to win. I think caps will continue to try to do it physically, but if the pens score first it could change the whole complexion. If refs let them play, advantage caps, if they start calling everything, it could get interesting.

Caps lost both games O'Halloran ref'd this playoff season including game 1 in this series (3-2 in regular season). I believe the Pens are 2-0 with O'Halloran (1-5 in regular season). Pollock (Caps 1-1, Pens 1-0 in playoffs) and he has called the least number of penalties (per game) this playoff season.

Game 7 so they won't call much which I think benefits the Caps with all their clutching and grabbing to try to keep up. Maybe 2 pp's a piece but the Pens should get the first one and one more than the Caps after last game.

As a long-time Caps fan, I find myself surprisingly light-hearted about tonight's game. No dread at all, despite the history.

It's not even that I think the Caps will win. I "expected" a win in 2009 after the Caps took game 6 in Pittsburgh, and have sworn off that approach forever. There are good reasons to favor the Caps in this game, but plenty of reasons to consider the Pens more likely to prevail.

Regardless, one of these years -- maybe this year, maybe not -- Caps fans are going to get something other than a lump of coal in their playoff stocking. For now, it's Christmas Eve and we can dream a little.

I can prove the following statement: the Caps have a 0% chance of winning tonight.

The Proof:

I. At least one of the following sentences is true.
II. The preceding sentence is false.
III. The Caps have a 0% chance of winning tonight.

Notes:
A. Statement I is either true or false.
B. Assume I is true. Then so is either II or III. But II is false, as it denies the truth of I. Hence III must be the true statement of the two.
C. Assume I is false. Then both II and III must not be true. But II agrees that I is false, so II is true. This is a contradiction.
D. Since assuming I is false leads to a contradiction, I is true.
E. Since I is true, so is III (see note B.) Thus statement III must be true.

The Caps have owned this series. All those Pittsburgh players making crap decisions with the puck?...they didn't want to get wrecked. You saw it... Hainsey... Sheary. It would be insane for Nick Bonino, a UFA on the cusp of the biggest contract of his career, to go balls to the wall and risk serious injury for a team he won't be a part of come next year. Yes, they're warriors, but they have families to consider.
It's not hyperbolic to suggest that Bones (and others) now know the party's over. No Letang, half the line-up banged to crap (for example:Carl Hagelin is usually substantially faster than Justin Schultz -but you wouldn't know it by the last couple of games). Nah, don't be surprised if it's a blow-out.

for whom ? families, injuries, expiring contracts... all this doesnt matter because its the caps, the moment u assume they win is when u set yourself up to be shocked. the outcome is already settled, we all are just watching the inevitable. its a trick, like a coinflip with pittsburgh logos on each site.

Actually it was the Pens who were trying to keep up last couple games.

But I agree that there will be hardly any calls this game and that benefits the Caps- especially if the Pens can't generate any offense 5 on 5 (which again has been the case the past 2 games)

I know it's game 7 and anything is possible but the way we have played the passed 2 games, I just don't feel it. I think were done, our chance was at home the other night. Hope I'm wrong

So much doom from both fanbases, it's kinda funny. I won't be able to see majority of the game. Vegas has Capitals as the favorites by decent bit, and my eye test agrees. I think Pittsburgh has to come out of the first period tied or in lead, or else, it will be closer to a blowout.
