Better than I thought, 25% of the period. They werent going to cut the top 4, even tho Nisky deserved to be.

I posted icetimes one post above yours.

It appears as if they seriously limited the Ghost-Braun pair in the 3rd.

Ghost had the least shifts of any D.
OTOH almost every team will rely on their top 4 when protecting a 3rd period lead in a playoff game. It’s pretty much the norm. Heck in Keenan’s era no D man other than Howe, McCrimmon, Marsh and Crossman would have taken a single 3rd period shift in a one goal game.

Giroux didn't make a big splash but he had numerous little plays springing rushes and chances. He had a massively long redirect to Farabee from the wall in our own zone that hit him in stride perfectly. With his back to him. Are you serious G? Were we using the boards as a mirror like Gretzky? How you do this

I noticed you mentioned this during the game and it deserves even more praise. That re-direct would have hit a player in stride 3/4 of the way across the width of the ice, was perfectly timed, and didn't take anything off the speed of the previous pass. I've never seen anything like it.

Not a good idea when a defensemen is shitting the bed as hard as Niskanen was.

The speed on it was some video-game stuff.
