Games 1-3, The penguins were adjusting from the Washington series.
Games 4-5, The penguins have adjusted.
This series is not about what Ottawa does or doesn't do... it's about when Pittsburgh figures out what to do.
Ottawa was never in control, they only got what Pittsburgh gave them.
Ottawa's best chance is to get a few bounces early like they did in game 3... outside of that, Pittsburgh's puck management will determine whether game 6 is the last game or not.
that's a bit of a biased view. Both teams have had games where they got some bounces that led to 4-0 first period leads and those games were over after 20 minutes.
The other 3 games were about which team was able to enforce their will on the other.
Hats off to Pittsburgh. .. you have the clearly stronger roster up front
But your being a bit too big of a homer with your post here. Do you really want to go down the path of that 4-0 first period lead was all about skill?
The first goal was weak AND of a soft turnover.
The next two were deflection goals on pucks going wide
The 4th was a behind the goal line soft goal similar to Hoffman's soft goal when Ottawa got 4 on Pittsburgh in the 3rd game.
Ottawa collapsed and got their lunch fed to them in that 1st period. Same thing happened to Pittsburgh
