3rd times a charm I guess, if it didn't work for CLB or the Caps it has to work eventually.

Did you miss the part where it didn't work at all last year either? Keep on banging your head against a wall though.

Rage? Ok. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

See the reaction over the wingels forearm? They just won 7-0, imagine what happens when Boro lays out Malkin with a huge hit, Pitt fans will return Mario Lemieux they'll be so mad at Canada

Not as bad as Sens fans when Karlsson gets breathed on.

Head hunting might be wrong word - how about Boro will be out to target the stars and will be a distraction next game to the Pittsburg forwards.

Doing what exactly, chasing them around his own zone as they cycle the puck endlessly?

I guess the Milbury fan club thinks the game will turn on a big hit... but people who actually watch the sport giggle at this neanderthal nonsense.

I don't know that it's Neanderthal nonsense. There is a place for big hits and I support them ... So long as they are clean.

Everything aligned against the Senators last game, that will swing back in their direction next game. We've seen this before in hockey and a ottawa was left for dead after game 4 vs NYR.

They'll win game 6. And there will be some injuries in the game. Lots of hockey left to play. Lots will happen.

How many more injuries do the Sens need in order to be able to take advantage of the situation, exactly?

This is all really scary though. Columbus and Washington didn't really try the hitting approach, they pretty much just let the Pens skate around at will. I'm not sure how they'll be able to even go over the boards against the fearsome Mark Borowiecki and his 17 career points.

It's not dirty, it's hockey. He's the best open ice hitter in the NHL and led the league by a large margin in hits. Pitt has to take hits to advance, and they'll have to take a couple of his huge open ice hits to adavance. Don't worry, your players can do it too.

And when it comes to head hunting. Pitt has nothing to stand on after Matt Cooke.

Headhunting is the epitome of dirty.

Nothing to stand on? What kind of juvenile argument is that? "Him too, him too!!!"

This kind of keyboard tough guy **** is repugnant, not to mention tiresome. Wishing injury on guys? To win a game?

And I don't care if it's an Ottawa fan or a Pens fan or whomever.

I'm all for hurting guys. Cuts and scrapes and big old bruises. Making guys feel like they're 90 years old the next day.

Injuring guys is something else again and it's pretty not cool how cavalier you are about it even trolling.

HEY! LOOK! A WILD MATT COOKE REFERENCE APPEARED!

Injuries to Ottawa I think are hurting them now as the series goes on we see a lot of their top players getting worn down. I think injuries to Ottawa have really slowed them down.
But in game 1-3 Ottawa was the more physical team and had a lot More traffic in front of the net. Pitt in game 4-5 have been able to get the puck in closer to the blue paint and keep a handle on the puck there and its caused Ottawa a ton of grief. Pitts handled the down low
Physical okay 100% better and it's because they are moving their feet and Ottawa is serving to puck battles only swinging sticks and not getting inside and establishing body position. Pitts not necessarily more physical, they are always on the right side of the puck as it's moving so the game is much easier.

Ottawa had to win the physical battles in game 6 & 7 and score a few PP goals, that's all. Get physical and bounce a few in on murray during the PP and they'll be there late in game 7 with a chance to win

When the NHL writes the big check for their indifference to police those hits and end them, Bettman, and his neanderthal Canadian cement heads will be gone. Only then will the NHL style of play be better for all.

you realize Bettman an is an American right? And it isn't a stretch to say the vast majority of Cdn fans across all 7 fan bases will cheer the day he retires

Games 1-3, The penguins were adjusting from the Washington series.
Games 4-5, The penguins have adjusted.

This series is not about what Ottawa does or doesn't do... it's about when Pittsburgh figures out what to do.

Ottawa was never in control, they only got what Pittsburgh gave them.

Ottawa's best chance is to get a few bounces early like they did in game 3... outside of that, Pittsburgh's puck management will determine whether game 6 is the last game or not.

The names you are looking for are Colin Campbell and Kris King.

These guys love trash, and will do whatever they can to keep trash relevant in today's NHL.

that's a bit of a biased view. Both teams have had games where they got some bounces that led to 4-0 first period leads and those games were over after 20 minutes.

The other 3 games were about which team was able to enforce their will on the other.

Hats off to Pittsburgh. .. you have the clearly stronger roster up front

But your being a bit too big of a homer with your post here. Do you really want to go down the path of that 4-0 first period lead was all about skill?

The first goal was weak AND of a soft turnover.

The next two were deflection goals on pucks going wide

The 4th was a behind the goal line soft goal similar to Hoffman's soft goal when Ottawa got 4 on Pittsburgh in the 3rd game.

Ottawa collapsed and got their lunch fed to them in that 1st period. Same thing happened to Pittsburgh

I think Pittsburgh closes this out in Game 6. They look like they've righted the ship with Murray back in net.

Just a lot of karma worked against Ottawa that game. They have historically been a horrible afternoon team in these playoffs and they are bound to lose. Playoff game. Andersons birthday and it seemed to effect him. Pitt at home. Ottawa as a team took their game up a level in game 3 and had a push in game 4 near the end, they jus emptied the tank and played a Dollie afternoon game. Pitt can stop finish 2-2 on home ice and lose the series, makes Sens though that Pitt is 2-1 at home this series since they are the favourite.

Odds will balance out to Ottawa next game. They will score on their PP. Anderson will have a bounce back game. We'll be on the good end of some big hits like earlier in the series. Home crowd.

bounces? are you serious. Ottawa was caved in during that 1st period yesterday. The puck stayed in the Sens zone almost the entire period. Pitt got at least 10-15 premium scoring chances in that first period alone. Sens were lucky only 4 ended up in the back of the net.

That's a lot different than game 3 where the sens had a a handful of chances in a 5 minute span and all of them ended up in the back of the net. You might want to look in the mirror when you start calling other people a homer.

Yep, keep on chasing hits and forgetting that there's a puck out there. That's been working to the Penguins' advantage when teams play like that against them.

I thought Ott was 4-0 in afternoon games this playoffs?
