I really need to start Axiom Verge back up. Had to stop playing since I hate the Switch JoyCons. But now I've got a Pro Controller.

Of course the first axiom verge looked dark and drab. It drew heavily from Metroid and Castlevania as its inspiration.

Of course you would say it's unappealing when I can probably say with certainty you didn't play it.

E3 doesn't officially start until tomorrow (the 12th). Some studios announced smaller games yesterday and today (like Two Point Campus) probably so that they'd get more attention. The big announcements will be over the next 4 days.

I was excited for that R6 spin off when it was announced since I loved the gameplay/mechanics in siege but not how sweaty it was.

That reveal just killed whatever hope I had. It looks so pointless. What's the point of drones or like 85% of operator gadgets are going to be totally useless against AI enemies? And there's an in game shop so presumably they can make you buy operators when you already have them in a game that runs on the same engine and code.

God dammit I hate Ubisoft.

I'm aware it's visuals are inspired by NES metroid, but that was before my time so it doesn't do anything for me, I like Shovel Knight a lot which is another NES inspired game. Axiom Verge still looked unappealing to me. However, no I actually did not play it, but after seeing this comment the other day I remembered I had a hacked Wii U with axiom verge on it and started it up for 30-45 minutes. I actually like the gameplay a lot, but the visuals are still not for me. I give the graphics a 6.5.
