Not really by fans, but by people in the business. You think Hynes is overrated? This guy is right up there, and for f***in WHAT?

The IDIOTS in Vancouver were so worried about Seattle hiring his useless frog neck when he was on an expiring deal. So they re-upped him weeks before his contract expired, only to have to fire his USELESS, PASSENGER ass about 5 or 6 weeks into the next season.

f*** him.

I don't care how good the power play was the first 7 or 8 weeks of the season. I have a feeling he controls a lot of our offense (and it's evident Brunette did last year) and it's been neutered and our rush game looks like a pile of shit.

With the loser point it’s very hard to climb over a lot of teams in front of you, like now where we are in a race with 4 or 5 of them.

The head to head match ups are very important. I hope we have a full and loud house supporting us against Philly.

That game is not just a Must-Win but a Must-Win-in-REGULATION game.

Devils have to get 2 points while preventing any loser points from Philly.

I agree, the Devils haven’t had a serious broadcast since Doc and Chico left. but it has been 10+ years of this. Very clear the organization under Harris/Blitzer want no negativity.

(and thus now of our broadcasters, save Sal who can be the most honest, get no real national opps despite broadcasting in Metro NY where all the tv execs live).

Dano does NHL Network stuff plenty of times and Erica does national work as well.

Bill hasn't really been doing this for very long to get national opportunities yet.

1-5 I think? I believe we were something crazy like 9-3 last year. Back to back is a kinda weak excuse especially tonight against the Ducks. We pretty much coasted to an easy win last night.

Literally her job is PR related stuff for the team, she’s not going to be Katie Strang or Rick Westhead and dig for dirt. You could make a similar argument for broadcasters I suppose but I think they have more of a responsibility to call it like they see it.

One of my good friends is a musician. Don't ask what band out of the sake of anonymity, they're a known band, but I'd bet 60-65% of the people on this forum have never heard of them, another 10%-15% of people have probably heard the name, but couldn't tell you a song and maybe 10%-15% would know them. And no, it's not Gaslight Anthem, it's not a New Jersey band, but he's from Jersey.

He's a snowbird to Florida. He's not by me, but he's part of our group that goes to games in Sunrise (he lives much closer to there than he does to me) and he comes up to Tampa when the Devils play here, unless he's on the road touring.

Anyway, that's just his back story. He's a season ticket holder, but has been unable to attend most of the games so far, due to touring, so tonight was only his third home game this year. He also went to the game in Colorado that we lost.

We're 0-4-0 when he attends games this year. Unfortunately, he's off for the next few months, so he'll be attending most of the games for the rest of the season, He gets $15 dollar flights from Palm Beach to Trenton on some pass he's got through Frontier Airlines.

This is only his third home game of the season. He was at the first Capitals game, the game in Colorado and tonight, and there was one other and we lost it. I think it was the Rangers game?

0-4-0 with him in attendance this year.

That's almost as bad as our record against bottom feeders at home this year.

Jack had a 3 game point drought before the ot goal vs Boston. That actually made it 4 games pretty much. He went off last night and had a great game obviously but tonight he had a poor game. You know it wasn't good when he took 2 penalties. He has been taking more penalties this season as well. Hughes hasn't really been as hot the last 10 days while Bratt was more consistent in that stretch.
