Looking at this stuff with any real severity in December when the standings are as tight as they are is a waste of time.

We have games in hand on every team in front of us. We’re 4 points out of 2nd in the division with two games in hand.

This means very little, if anything at all, at this juncture. Keep taking care of our own business and the opponent in front of us, and things will take care of themselves.

There may be an error on moneypuck’s part. First off if you go to the playoff projections page it says it hasn’t been updated since Friday. Also, probably did a roster update with no Dougie and that is why they dropped. Similar thing happened to Dom’s model a week or so ago when Dougie was injured.

the fact that the playoff projection fluctuated 20% over a week just shows how nonsensical that graph is. it’s basically meaningless and i’m not sure how you take anything from that.

they got off to a rocky start and both d and goaltending were miserable the two months, but they have hopefully righted that ship. plus we played without hughes and hischier for a bunch of games.

they’re better than their record and if they keep going how they have been then hopefully today is the last day that they are on the outside of the playoff standings looking in
