I feel like this will give the 4th line a boost. McLeod is just such a nothing player.

He just needs more time. He's never going to be more than a 3C anyway IMO, but I'd rather him get the time in Bakersfield than as a healthy scratch for us.

We play Arizona on Thursday as the first game of a back to back with Vegas on Friday.

It's all about the game spacing. 2 days off between every game so far, so go with the hot hand in Smith, give Koskinen Thursday in Arizona and come back to Smith in Vegas Friday. Smith gets 2 days off between all of his first four starts, and then has another four days off before the next game again, and another 2 days off after that.

Come November we'll see more of a platoon when they play 11 games in 22 nights.
