Draisaitl is a top 5 player in the league if he keeps this up

I think I'd agree. All offseason I've been saying people need to slow down and see what he does in the next season and it seems nothing changed.

He'll never get the credit he deserves until he plays without McDavid. It's dumb to dismiss what he's doing just because they're on the same line, but that's what's going to continue to happen on here.

I'm willing to bet that even if Draisaitl outscored McDavid this year, somehow that would still be twisted to McDavid carrying him.

Draisaitl did this most of last year, too, and a good chunk of the two seasons prior. He’s constantly getting better. One day the Oilers might have wingers worth a damn and we’ll be able to run him and McDavid on separate lines. At that point we’re a legitimate threat.

I also feel like Draisaitl is missing some sort of electric skill from his game that prevents him from getting to these guys level. He does put the puck in the net though.

What exactly do you think he needs to be "electric?"
