For a while the 2004 Draft order with trades was stickied and updated Itw would be a great idea if someone would do that again as picks are flying.

so they will have 5 between 31 and 60---as of today--the Hawks will have the 2nd most balls in the lotto after pittsburgh--so it is not that far fetched--

Everywhere I've seen says this is just a conditional pick so far. Where did you find out it's a 3rd?craig1 said:Calgary traded it's 2004 3rd round pick to Pittsburgh for Andrew Ference.

I'll put it on the list, but it'll be in brackets until it's revealed which exact pick it is. I knew he was traded for a pick, but I didn't have a round or even a year, so I had left it off the list till now.craig1 said:Calgary traded it's 2004 3rd round pick to Pittsburgh for Andrew Ference.
From Legends of Hockey, Smehlik was "Traded to New Jersey by Atlanta with New Jersey's 6th and 8th round choices (previously acquired) in 2004 Entry Draft for New Jersey's 4th round choice (Michael Vannelli) in 2003 Entry Draft, March 10, 2003." Now I gotta figure when New Jersey traded those two picks to Atlanta in the first place. Atlanta traded Pascal Rheaume to Jersey in Feb 2003 for future considerations, and I'm thinking that one or both of those were the considerations.Seachd said:According to TSN.ca, which does make mistakes, Atlanta traded their 6th and 8th this year to New Jersey in the Smehlik trade.

Thanks. I wonder how I missed that one. Chicago now has the most 2004 picks (15), Philadelphia is second (14), and Nashville third (12).Draftman said:Outstanding job.
One other deal, Timmander to Philly for a seventh rounder to the Isles in 2004.
They have 4 2nd rd picks. Pulford will mess it up no matter how many they have.zetterberg40 said:wow chicago has 5 2nd rounders? looks like they might be the day 1 winners like nashville was last year. Nice, maybe they can finally get that organization turned completely around within the next few years
