I admit I even got giddy after that but its still different circumstances considering age difference and contract status. We might not have even been offered a 1st rounder in the 1st place for him so its a moot point.

Why? Look, I'm a huge believer in market values for players in trades, but in every market there are outliers. Expecting that because one team got an overpayment for their player (who was their #1 target) is like every team expecting to get Filip Forsbergs for their Martin Erats.
