Kinda liking the idea of getting Robbie Thomas as our 1st. But I'm 0/7 in recent drafts.....

I wanted Sergachev last year so that was sweet. Liked McCarron and Sherbak as well.

This year i feel the guys we need are ranked a bit too high; Rasmussen,Suzuki,Poehling

I don't trust TT.

Isn't Churla in charge of amateur scouting anyway? I trust him even less.

He was picked 25th and with his size he was probably not making 2nd round. There wasnt much better taken after him. The best two players after him so far because its still early is Hartman and Lehkonen.

I'm not the type to use 4 years of hindsight to say we should have taken so and so. I just didn't like taking a guy who almost certainly projected, IMO, to be a bottom 6 journeyman.

Still, I hope he can make the jump soon and push some bodies around for us.

Who says they trust Timmins?

I used to think he was decent, but our history of first round flops is disgustingly long lately.

He's great at finding gems in the later rounds, arguably there are none better, but he absolutely sucks in the first round, missing time after time.

I'd love to trade down and nab Morgan Frost.

Also Gadjovich, Lodnia, Morand would be great to get in the late first/second round.

In TT we hope then?

Since 2008, only 4 players drafted by the Habs have played 100 games or more in the NHL, which is last in the league.

Galchenyuk, Gallagher, Beaulieu, and Andrighetto are those 4 players.

McGuire calling this a "maturation" draft, claiming patience needed and a lot of third liners featured. One of these is not a Habs specialty. :sarcasm:

That's crazy. The median is 10 & the mean is 9.6. We're at 4. That's beyond awful. It's pathetic.

Lekonen will make that list next season and maybe Big Mac, but it's still not great results.
